| How frequent are sessions and how long will therapy last? |
Most commonly, people come to therapy once a week for a 50-minute session, although this can vary depending on the problem and its severity. The duration of therapy (number of sessions) is difficult to predict as it depends on a number of factors including severity of the problem and response to treatment. Therapy lasts as long as it needs to in order to eliminate or minimize the problem; this can be anywhere from a few sessions to working with a therapist for several years. At Perspective we work collaboratively with our clients in discussing the direction of treatment as well as conducting on-going assessment to measure effectiveness and movement.

| What kind of therapy is conducted at Perspectives? |
Perspectives Therapy Services specializes in the treatment of mental, emotional, psychological, and relationship problems using the latest theory and research-based approaches. Emotionally-focused therapy (EFT) is used to treat couples, which has been empirically validated as well as Dr. John Gottman’s theoretical orientation and carefully crafted interventions aimed at efficient, effective long-term change in couples. Family system’s theory is used when conducting family therapy which focuses on the problem that hinders the family or particularly members from growing and changing appropriately.
