I enjoy the opportunity to help people. There are some difficult times that people may need help with and having a therapeutic connection with people is to afford them a safe place to process their life experiences.
In my experience I believe that people want validation of what they have been through, and having that validation means they have been listened to. Knowing that you are listened to lends to the opportunity to create a plan of action for the individual and/or family to actively participate in.
