Helping others through the therapeutic journey is a passion of mine. I love being a part of strengthening relationships and watching others grow together. It is incredibly meaningful to me to create a relationship with my clients where I am open, honest and laid back. I will listen empathically and meet you exactly where you are in life. I am a relationship and attachment based therapist that believes in the strength we all bring each other.
I believe that therapy is a wonderful catalyst for change. I strive to work as a team with my clients because you are most definitely the expert of your own life. I am beyond honored to join others on their journey through life. Let’s celebrate your resilience together!
What do you love doing more than anything in the world?
More than anything else in the world I like being around others and laughing. After a stressful day, I love talking with friends, playing games, being silly and laughing. I also love being outdoors and playing with my dog and cat.
What is the self-care strategy you use most often?
The self-care techniques I use most often are breathing and mindfulness practices. When I need a break or when something weighs heavy on my heart, I try to remind myself to be as present as possible. I strive to pick at least one positive attribute out of every moment, no matter how small that may seem at the time.
What was your dream job when you were in elementary school?
From a young age I wanted to be a teacher, perhaps because I grew up with my parents both being teachers. I’ve always loved helping others and watching children learn and grow.
What is your favorite movie of all time?
I am a lover of all sorts of movies but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be Silver Linings Playbook. I adore how the movie touches on a multitude of emotions and how it normalizes mental illness in a way that I feel other movies do not.
Describe your ideal vacation? Has it happened yet?
My ideal vacation would consist of somewhere warm but not humid, someplace peaceful and close to the ocean or a large body of water, and someplace with loved ones. I would ideally like to go back to the ocean since I have not been in years. I currently vacation most frequently by our Great Lakes and I am always in awe of the beauty there is to offer and how peaceful and refreshing a day by the water can be.
What is the most delicious meal you can imagine?
The most delicious meal I can imagine would be a giant plate of seafood and alfredo pasta! If calories did not exist and one dish could provide you with the nutrients you needed, I could live off of alfredo pasta with mounds of shrimp or crab! Yum!
