I believe that every person has their own story to tell and that therapy sets the foundation to begin telling it. By providing an open, non-judgmental atmosphere, people are able to begin telling their story in their own way. As a therapist, it is a privilege to work with people on this powerful and healing journey.
I enjoy coming to work and learning all that I can from my clients. I believe that, as a therapist, it is a privilege to hear people’s experiences, accomplishments, and hardships and to support them on their journeys. I respect all of my clients, their differences, and their struggles and humbly appreciate their steps toward change, as it is no small feat to bring oneself to therapy.
Couples therapy, family therapy, pre and postnatal mothers, maternal depression, relational concerns, LGBT concerns, gender identity concerns, grief and loss, anxiety and mood disorders, trauma-focused work, post-traumatic stress disorder, suicidal ideations
What do you love doing more than anything in the world?
I love baking and cooking for those that I love! I also enjoy spending time outside, particularly when the weather is warm!
What is the self-care strategy you use most often?
Walking and hiking with my dog, Mia. I love to watch her explore and get excited by all of the animals that she sees. I enjoy the smell of the trees and flowers and all of the sights and sounds in nature that we encounter together. On days that she can’t walk (too hot or too cold), I enjoy cross-stitching and a good movie.
What was your dream job when you were in elementary school?
I wanted to be a horseback riding instructor!
What is your favorite movie of all time?
The Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie of all time.
Describe your ideal vacation? Has it happened yet?
My ideal vacation would be taking a road trip and hiking through Yellowstone and Glacier National Park. I would love to be able to explore the parks and the mountains on foot and to see as much of it as I can. It has not happened yet, though I have been to Yellowstone twice!
