Philosophy

As a therapist with a comprehensive understanding I challenge, support, empathize and validate the clients I work with. I find it imperative that the relationship between client and therapist is collaborative, built off of trust and free of judgement. I recognize that the client is the expert and therefore I allow my clients to guide the therapeutic process through open communication. I utilize many different therapeutic models and techniques to provide the tools for my clients to reach their goals.

Personal Statement

One of the most difficult things an individual, couple or family can do is seek help. I pride myself in understanding the strength it takes to acknowledge our weaknesses. It is of great importance to me that I provide my clients with a supportive and welcoming space where they can share, grow and explore through all of life’s experiences. What I find most clients enjoy about therapy is the ability to openly engage with an individual that is free of judgement and advice.

About me

What do you love doing more than anything in the world?
Hands down spending time with my family! I love to do anything and everything with my family. Luckily for me I live close to my parents and siblings so we spend a lot of time together.

What is the self-care strategy you use most often?
Playing and cuddling with my Beagle Boys (Samson and Stevie).

What was your dream job when you were in elementary school?
When I was in elementary school I dreamed of changing the world. I wasn’t sure what the title of my dream job was but I knew that I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives and help them find a successful path.

What is your favorite movie of all time?
My most favorite movie of all time is “Freedom Writers”. This movie provided me with the context that would eventually lead me to where I am today.

Describe your ideal vacation? Has it happened yet?
I have had many great opportunities to follow Michigan State Athletics on their quest towards championships. However, if I had to pick an ideal vacation (non-sports related) I would have to say that traveling and exploring Greece would be at the top of my list!

What is the most delicious meal you can imagine?
My family does Sunday night family dinners and no matter what it is I always look forward to Sunday nights!
