My philosophy on therapy is to generate a healthy, judgment-free, and safe therapeutic alliance. I want to be able to meet you where life has taken you so far. I want to help you establish goals to make your life better, all while walking with you on the journey to achieve where you want to be.
Everyone experiences life differently. My personal and professional experiences have shaped who I am and why I chose a career of helping others. My clinical experience ranges from working in the Child Welfare System to the Genesee County Jail. My main therapeutic lens is the Mindfulness Approach as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). However, my goal is to help anyone in need to the best of my abilities and to design a therapeutic plan specifically with you in mind. Together, we can create and work towards accomplishing all your therapeutic goals. I would be more than honored to start this journey with you!
What is the self-care strategy you use most often?
I like to dedicate a block of time to myself when I need to recharge. This could look like drinking a cup of coffee early in the morning while everything is quiet. This could be playing video games on my computer late at night. This may be a nature walk on a cloudy day. I am a person of many hobbies, but for me, the key is allowing myself the time to properly recharge.
What was your dream job in elementary school?
I wanted to design video games because I thought that meant I got to play them all day.
Describe your ideal vacation. Has it happened yet?
Camping in the middle of the woods is my ideal vacation. I do take a yearly trip to the U.P. where I camp, fish, and ride ORV’s.
