I believe everyone walks into the therapy room with different needs. Maybe the need is to pause and get very present in the moment and to feel. Perhaps there is a desire for problem solving, or to be heard, or to reflect and plan. Whatever the need may be, I feel that my job as a therapist is to meet each and every person where they are and chart a course forward together. I see life challenges and hardships as opportunities, and I believe that healing occurs most efficiently within the context of relationships, including the therapeutic relationship. With the right support, our darkest moments in life can provide the fuel for our greatest growth and transformation.
In my own life, I have experienced the transformative power of meditation and healing movement practices like yoga. I personally believe that these tools can sometimes provide the missing piece on a healing journey. I am thrilled to be able to offer these practices to interested clients. Whatever path we walk to together, whether more traditional therapy or one that incorporates meditation and/or yoga, I am incredibly humbled to work with clients in their most vulnerable moments and I am honored to bear witness to their personal growth process.

What do you love doing more than anything in the world?
Cuddling up on the couch with my girls! It always has a way of putting the day into perspective and reminding me what is most important.
What is the self-care strategy you use most often?
To say yoga would be too easy (although it’s true)! So instead I will say that my #2 strategy is a long hot bath. Both are so comforting and healing to me.
What was your dream job when you were in elementary school?
I wanted so badly to be an archeologist when I was little! We lived on an Air Force Base in the middle of the Mojave desert in California, and I used to spend hours out in the open desert behind our house digging holes in the ground looking for dinosaur bones.
What is your favorite movie of all time?
Oh my gosh this is hard! So many movies left a mark at different stages of my life. Xanadu, Grease 1 & 2, Goonies, Girl Interrupted, Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects, Evita… Too many to name just one!
Describe your ideal vacation? Has it happened yet?
My ideal vacation would probably be a health/wellness style yoga retreat. I’ve never done anything like that but I would love to someday!
What is the most delicious meal you can imagine?
I’m a sucker for a good spicy stir-fry. Total comfort food!
