My philosophy as a therapist is to meet each client where they are at with understanding and support. I believe in a holistic, person-centered approach where empathy and trust are the most important elements. I also enjoy implementing a variety of treatment methods to help clients accomplish their goals and work towards becoming the best version of themselves. I believe that one’s attitude and perspective are especially important. If you can shift your perspective and/or attitude, you can change the way you feel, which then changes the way you act or think.
Life is challenging, confusing, and sometimes very difficult. I strive to create a space of comfort, support, and understanding. I am here to be a team, working together towards goals you wish to accomplish and achieve. Therapy can be difficult and scary, yet so rewarding – which is why I give so much credit to anyone who is willing to give the therapeutic experience a try! Everyone deserves happiness and a life of enjoyment, and I am here to support you on that journey.
What do you love doing more than anything in the world?
I love to travel. The memories made with those I love– it doesn’t get any better than that!
What is the self-care strategy you use most often?
Cooking and baking. I find that getting lost in new recipes (or even old ones) is a great way for my mind to escape. And then you get to enjoy your creation – win win!
What is your favorite movie of all time?
Grease. Yes, the one with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John from 1978. Surprising because I am not a fan of musicals and the movie was 15 years old when I was born!
Describe your ideal vacation. Has it happened yet?
I would love to go backpacking all over Europe for an extended period of time. This is on my bucket list that I will make sure happens one day!
