Philosophy

I aim to provide an empathically supportive atmosphere, where you can confidently feel at ease and begin to look at
the situation from a fresh, new perspective. My intentions are to bring my full knowledge, care, and compassion to
my work with you as we work collaboratively to build a strong relationship, ensure your strengths are realized,
stressors are managed, goals are achieved and methods of facing future adversities are learned. That being said, I
utilize a holistic and integrative approach to psychotherapy where I use evidence-based models in my mental health
care.

Personal Statement

Thank you for taking the courageous effort to make this brave investment in yourself and for allowing me the
opportunity to hopefully support you. I welcome clients from all gender identities, sexual identities, and
religious/spiritual orientations. I appreciate the complexity that has led you to our office, and it would be my
privilege and honor to hear and to hold your story with you.

Special Interests

What do you love doing more than anything in the world?
Laughing; Research has shown that it can often be the best medicine!

What is the self-care strategy you use most often?
Guided Breathing and Progressive Muscle Relaxation – When there is the time and place, however, taking the time
to sit or walk in silence midst the nature or by the water gives my mind and body a sense of rejuvenation.

What is your favorite movie of all time?
Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightly and Matthew MacFadyen

What is your favorite quote?
“For what it’s worth… it’s never too late or too early, to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit. Start
whenever you want. You can change or stay the same. There are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the
worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you’ve never
felt before. I hope you meet people who have a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if
you’re not, I hope you have the courage to start over again.” – F. Scott Fitzgerald
